U.C.M. Resita at FOREN 2004
The 7th edition of the Energy National Conference FOREN 2004 took place in Neptun, between 13-18.06.2004, organized by the Romanian National Committee on behalf of the World Energy Council.
The participation of U.C.M. Resita to this prestigious event materialized by presenting ientific papers at section 5, "The industry for power production equipment", presenting our own test stand and organizing a round table on the subject: "New solutions and technologies in upgrading and increasing of hydro power unit performances".
The test stand of U.C.M. Resita intended to promote our company's new image, was visited after the opening ceremony by Mr. Iulian Iancu, State Secretary in the Ministry of Industry and Resources, interested both in the field of activity as well as in the perspectives of U.C.M. Resita.
Mr. Sorin Toader, Technical Director and Mrs. Sigrid Jianu, Research and Design Director have provided details regarding the new structure of our company, the achievements, perspectives and the projects in progress. The round table comprised five papers elaborated by the experts of the Research and Design Department:
- Computer techniques to optimize the design of hydro units;
- Solutions and technologies to upgrade the turbines, valves and installations;
- Governing systems for turbines;
- Solutions and technologies to upgrade the hydro power units;
- Solutions and technologies to upgrade the monitoring and control systems;
- A paper presented by Mr. Berhard, the representative of Isovolta company regarding the new solutions intended to be applied on hydro power units insulations.
Among the participants to the round table there were also the representatives of Hidroelectrica Company, Electroechipament Industrial , ICEMENERG, ICPE, Adwel etc.
