Repairs and upgrading works investments

Already completed upgrading works

This autumn U.C.M. Resita has continued the repairs and upgrading works at the social and sanitary groups, as well as at the roofs of the workshops. Among the works that have already been completed, there are the works performed at the social and sanitary groups from the Steel and Cast Iron Foundries Mociur, the sanitary groups from Rough Machining Workshop, no. 500 workshop, IT and Administration Departments, (SME and SMG), Neutralization Workshop (Heat Treatment sector) and the washstand from SMG.

The repair works at roofs were already finalized at SMD test stand, SMD overhauling stand and the bottling workshop from the Oxygen Factory.

Works in progress

Until the end of the year, the repairs and upgrading works will be completed at the following workshops: no. 570 workshop - sanitary and social group, no. 500 workshop (the hall) - sanitary group, Tools and Devices Workshop - sanitary and social group, no. 480 workshop (MIBA) - sanitary and social groups, Forge (Maintenance Workshop) - sanitary group.

Until the middle of October the repair works at the roofs will be finalized at the following workshops: SMD (social group), SME 1 and the Central Warehouse, and until the end of the year those of: SME 2, Wood Pattern Workshop, TNM, TFM, TOM, Forge, Rough Machining, MIBA, SNG, SME 1 test stand - the BC hall and the Pattern Warehouse.

Heating systems

U.C.M. Resita is performing this autumn several overhauling and upgrading works for the heating systems. The overhauling works and the pressure tests will be performed at the main pipelines, hot water boilers form Câlnicel and ABC, as well as at the steam boilers. At M 1 Câlnicel workshop, the heating systems will be upgraded by mounting gas radiators. In the Laboratory Building a new thermal power station will be installed.

These upgrading works and repairs are due to be completed until the end of 2004. They will be continued next year with other similar actions.
