PASCOTA again No.1 in Europe!
The pilot of UCM Resita succeeded a premiere for the motorcycling in Romania, becoming European Champion for the second time. This time in the UEM Cup Championship.
Ionel PASCOTA proved once again that he is a super-class pilot, becoming European Champion for the second time. The outstanding performance of the UCM Resita pilot represents a premiere in Romania's motorcycling field. If last year, the pilot from UCM Resita became European Champion - Alpae Adria, this year PASCOTA imposed himself in a much stronger competition: The European Championship - UEM Cup.
In the final run of the competition, the one from Poznan in Poland, the pilot from the Sports Club of UCM Resita succeeded to finish on the fourth place and the 13 points obtained brought him a total of 79 points, placing him on the first place and thus conquering the continental title.
PASCOTA left in Poznan from the third position at the start line and performed an extraordinary strategic drive. Although the circuit was wetted by rain, during the last two laps of the racing track, the multiple-champion from Banat finally succeeded to obtain the necessary points to crown himself with a new title of European Champion.
