235 years U.C.M. Resita! July 2, 2006 - a sunny day in our souls
The anniversary day of U.C.M. Resita Group was celebrated with the pomp that tend to become tradition on July 2, 2006 in the Civic Centre of the city along Bārzava River.
The festivity was opened by the most appreciated Romanian folklore singer in the last 2 decades - Nicolae Furdui IANCU, accompanied by his children Maria and Tudor assisted by the Ensemble "Crai Nou". The folklore moments have continued with the successful singers Niculina STOICAN, Doriana TALPES, Ramona and Petrica VITA, Cornelia and Lupu REDNIC, and Marian VĀLCU assisted by the folklore ensembles "Semenicul" and "Floare Cālniceana".
After rumba and cha-cha-cha rhythms performed by the talented dancers of Real Dance Club, the feast continued dynamically with the incendiary rhythms of Anda ADAM, Alexandra UNGUREANU and Crush.
Despite the insistent raining, the event dedicated to the 235 years of U.C.M. Resita activity, has continued.
The "Bere Gratis" Band returned to Resita for her fans, and Stefan BANICA Jr. danced and sang only for the citizens of Resita, the encores and applauses of the audience touching the heart of the artist who created sensation two decades ago in the movie "Liceenii Rock'n roll".
The evening surprise was the anthem of U.C.M. Resita composed and sang by the "Bere Gratis" Band, on this occasion being introduced by the President of U.C.M. Resita Group - Adrian CHEBUTIU, the new coach of UCM Resita handball team - Ayhan OMER, the most titled coach of the National League in the last 6 years.
