Resita More Dangerous Away
There is no great disappointment on the Resita side after making only a draw against the Norwegians. First of all, everyone is aware that they have a young team and it is the first time they play in Europe. More importantly: the Romanians play better away than at home. Coach Aihan Omer tells us how it is possible...
Aihan Omer: I’m not satisfied with the draw. We wanted to win, but we were unlucky. On the other hand, I am happy that my players gave their best for the victory.
eurohandball.com: What was the difference between the teams?
Aihan Omer: Three of our goalkeepers made only five saves altogether. Olaussen was in good form on the other side and it was important. I hope that we will improve here and I also trust the team as a whole.
eurohandball.com: According to many, Resita play better away that at home. How is that possible?
Aihan Omer: At home there is a lot of pressure on the young and inexperienced players: many spectators, sponsors watching… Let’s not forget, that it is still our first season in European Cups.
eurohandball.com: Do you believe in winning in Norway?
Aihan Omer: Of course I do. The situation was the same in the semi-final; the first match was a draw at home against the Polish team. Drammen are a good team, but everything is possible…
