The success of the Physics and Chemistry Lab
U.C.M. Resita Physics and Chemistry Lab, attended at the end of last year the tests organized by the
Institut für Eignungsprüfung (IfEP) from Herten, Germany, regarding the Brinell toughness of the ferrous materials.
It is remarkable that among the 60 participant labs, beside IFW Jena (Jena), MPA Stuttgart (Stuttgart), National Institute of Technology (Oslo), Siemens VDO Automotiv GmbH (Limbach - Oberfrohna), Skoda Vyzkum s.r.o. (Plzen), TÜV Technische Überwachung Hessen GmbH (Frankfurt am Main), Volkswagen AG (Salzgitter), U.C.M. Resita Physics and Chemistry Lab was the only Romanian participant at this skills tests. Our Lab was also among those whose results were in conformity with the EN ISO 6506-2 and SR EN 10003-1 standards, situation acknowledged by the organizers.
"We owe these results to Mr. Dan Gherhardt and Mr. Attila Szabo, our colleagues who effectivly applied these tests", says Mrs. Luminiþa Bãrbulescu, the Chief of the U.C.M. Resita Physics and Chemistry Lab.
