The company UCM Resita has designed and supplied the entire energetic equipment for the hydroelectric power plant that was recently inaugurated at Movileni.
The hydroelectric power plant from Movileni, on Siret River, with an output of 33.9 MW, is the first one designed after the years 1989, the value for this investment summing the amount of 650 millions lei.
"Beside power generation, this investment gives support also for other two major objectives: prevention of floods and back up for the irrigation sector" said Mr. Emil Boc, Prime-Minister of Romania, at the inauguration. "This represents a pennant investment in the field of power generation. The entire system on the Siret River will be completed, and for this purpose there are still required investments of about 135 millions Euro", continued the Prime-Minister.
The hydroelectric power plant from Movileni will supply 112.4 GWh of power/year.
