tehnic The Center of Monitoring and Diagnosis of Hydroelectric Power Plants

This year within our company will start operating the Center of Monitoring and Diagnosis of Hydroelectric Power Plants. This Center involves gathering all technical information referring to the operating parameters of hydroelectric power plants. Thus, besides monitoring, we shall be able to provide, in the shortest time possible, the needed technical solutions leading to normalize the operation of the power plants, when some abnormal situations occur.

The Monitoring Center may receive information only from those power plants provided with data acquisition systems, meaning that the operation of each unit is monitored and the resulted data are centralized by a control room, allowing the optimization of the unit's functioning.

Our company delivered and put into operation hydro units and the related automation systems, including the necessary programs to operate such a system, for HPP Poiana Teiului, HPP Subcetate and HPP Slatina (group 1). Considering what advantages they can provide, the demand for electric automation equipments and data acquisition is continuously increasing.

In order to provide the customers optimum results in the operation of hydro units and the electric equipments for automation, control and integrated data acquisition, these systems will be designed and performed by our company. In this respect, within the Technical Directorate, was established the Department for Design and Manufacture of Regulators and Electric Equipments. The role of the specialists from this department is to design and perform automation and data acquisition equipments. They will also design and perform the necessary programs for the operation of the Center of Monitoring and Diagnosis of Hydroelectric Power Plants. In order to provide the highest level training in the field of electric equipments, all members of this department will attend starting with April this year a series of training sessions organized in collaboration with Schneider Electric. These training sessions will approach subjects referring to the knowledge and performing of equipments, programming as well as management concepts. The trainees will have the opportunity to learn not only technical issues but also methods and sales strategies.

By designing and producing the electric equipments that could be delivered together with the hydro unit and also by setting the Center of Monitoring and Diagnosis of Hydroelectric Power Plants, U.C.M. Resita to provide its customers products and services of the highest engineering level in the hydro field.
