The UCM Resita Rally Team made its debut in the National Rally Championship
The team consisting of the pilot Mihai LEU of U.C.M. Resita team and the copilot Bogdan IANCU on Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII was classified on the fifth place at the rally of Brasov and their colleagues from the same class N +2.0 Lucian PREDA and the copilot Mihai SANDU on Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VII arrived on the seventh place by the end of the day two.
Valentin PORCISTEANU was classified on the third place at the class N 1.6 and the champion en-titre from group H - Gunther GRAEF was unable to participate at the rally of Brasov due to some technical problems at his Toyota Celica car just before the start.
