The Rally of Mountain BANAT Region
The Sports Clubs UCM Resita and Erwin Weber RT Timisoara organized under the aegis of F.R.A.S. (The Romanian Sportive Motoring Federation), the first full-sized rally of Banat, U.C.M. Resita Rally of Mountain Banat Region. By this rally, the Vest area of the country will become part of the map of Romanian Rally Championship (C.R.R.) as the second leg of the ten forming the National Championship.
The U.C.M. Resita Rally of Mountain Banat Region will take place within 30-31st of March and will consist of 12 special events. Completely new are both the super special event that will take place in Julius Mall Timisoara parking lot and the special events around Resita environs, developed on an absolute new route as part of C.R.R. The rally starts with the super special event in Timisoara, having two cars at start, and is the first competition of this kind in Romania that will take place on asphalt.
The difference between U.C.M. Resita Rally of Mountain Region Banat and other rallies consists also in the way of organization. It is the only competition where the start and the finish line will be in two different cities: TIMISOARA, respectively RESITA. Despite the fact that the rally is at its first edition, on the list of participants are great names: Constantin AUR, the most titled pilot in the history of Romanian rallies, having eight national trophies, Dan GARTOFAN, national champion in 2004, Bogdan MARISCA, the champion of 2005 and several others.
Before the start of the competition, within the close circuit of Julius Mall, the pilots will present their cars special equipped for this race, for the enjoinment of the public. Afterwards, on the same evening, will take place the special event on Doman Valley, the first of this year carried out during night when the show offered by the contest bolides is incredible: IT IS WORTH TO BE SEEN!
The U.C.M. Resita Rally of Mountain Banat represents a perfect collaboration between two sports clubs from different counties, their target being to continue the existing tradition of motor sport in Banat Region. This rally assumes joining of the partners' name to the rally of Banat, which means over speed engines, controlled skidding, unique show, competitiveness and fair-play, but also enthusiastic public, great fan of motor sports. The two organizing clubs, U.C.M. Resita and Erwin Weber RT Timisoara, just found the perfect "recipe" for a successful show in all respects and invite you to join the competition, to enjoy the events and the evolution of the contest bolides.
